SPECIFIC CAREGIVING OPPORTUNITIES AND NEEDS

Volunteer opportunities are always available. If you have an hour a week or an hour a month to give and would like to volunteer, please stop in (58 East Broadway, Derry), call (603.432.0877),
or e-mail ( office@comcaregivers.org ) for more information. You can:
  • Provide a ride to a medical appointment or grocery store.
  • Shop for a disabled person.
  • Visit a homebound person.
  • Vacuum, dust, or help around the house.
  • Stay with an elderly person so that a caregiver may go out.
Derry
  • Disabled Man near Shaws needs temporary assistance with light chores due to an injury.
  • Woman on Big Island Pond needs someone to take her grocery shopping one time per week. Also, a group is needed to do spring yard work.
  • Disabled Woman off of Windham road looking for help with light chores 2 x per month.
  • Disabled Woman on Linlew Drive looking for help with laundry and someone to go shopping with her.
  • Legally blind woman on East Derry Road looking for help reading, writing, and with errands.
  • 23 year old young man in Derry living with a brain injury would like someone to bring and join him at Planet Fitness two times a week.  Would prefer a male (young or old).
Chester
  • Disabled Man on Fremont Road needs help to design, prepare and install wheelchair ramp into his home. Need experience in concrete demolition, building and engineering.  Looking for local service group to underwrite project.
  • Elderly woman on the Derry/Chester line on Rt.102 looking for individual to be a all around helper on Wednesdays during the day.  She already has help the other parts of the week.
  • Disabled Vietnam Vet looking for someone to take him to the grocery store and to pick up prescription.  Also would enjoy outings.
Londonderry
  • Recent widow off West Road looking for companionship and someone to do activities with her.  Older woman preferred.
  • Elderly woman near Hannaford needs dependable help with light chores 1 x per week.  Must like cats.
Sandown
  • Elderly Woman in North Sandown looking for companion one day a week in afternoon.  Loves to go to thrift shops, out to lunch or go on drives.  Has cat and loves children.
  • 92 year old woman on Angle Pond is looking for help home from Exeter Dialysis on either Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday around 2:15pm.
  • Couple on Allen Street looking for respite care and/or light chores Tuesday and/or Thursday. Veterans Administration has cut their funding and support is needed to fill in the gap.
  • Elderly couple on North Road looking to go grocery shopping with someone weekly.  Can combine with your own.
  • Disabled woman on North Road looking for someone to take her food shopping two times a month.
Hampstead
  • Man in Village Green Apartments has three standing appointments a week in Derry for Allergy shots, Breathing Treatments, and Counseling.  Looking for a match to take to one of the weekly appointment. There is flexibility in the times.
  • Elderly Woman on Danville Road looking for someone to take her to the grocery store.
